Members of Perrysburg Rotary and Interact Club

Updates | 2025/2026 School Year

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation has partnered with the Perrysburg Schools Foundation to establish a new scholarship recognizing student leadership and service at Perrysburg High School. The scholarship will be awarded annually to two graduating seniors who have demonstrated active involvement in the Interact Club, Rotary’s student-led service organization.

The scholarship was created to celebrate students who exemplify a commitment to service, leadership, and giving back to the community—values shared by both Perrysburg Rotary and Perrysburg Schools.

“It is wonderful to see service clubs, like Rotary, supporting our students and the next generation of community leaders,” said Jeff Abke, Director of Development for Perrysburg Schools. “This scholarship not only recognizes student achievement, but also reinforces the importance of service as a cornerstone of education and community engagement.”

The Interact Club at Perrysburg High School provides students with opportunities to serve locally and globally, develop leadership skills, and build strong connections within the community. Students selected for the scholarship will be recognized for their dedication to these principles throughout their high school careers.

Susan Nelson, who serves on the boards of both the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation and the Perrysburg Schools Foundation, emphasized the shared mission behind the new scholarship.

“I have truly enjoyed being part of both organizations and seeing firsthand how hard our students work to give back,” Nelson said. “Service is at the core of what both of these nonprofits do, and this scholarship reflects the values we strive to instill in our students and our community.”

The Perrysburg Schools Foundation supports innovative programs, student opportunities, and staff initiatives that enhance educational experiences across the school district. Jack Sculfort, the Executive Director of the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation stated: “Our Foundation focuses on strengthening the greater Perrysburg community through service, leadership, and philanthropic support.  Any organization or person interested in learning more about grant opportunities should visit our website at PRCF.org.”

More information about the scholarship, including eligibility and application details, will be shared with Perrysburg High School seniors during the academic year.
