Updates & News | 2023/2024 School Year
Perrysburg Schools Foundation (PSF) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1983 to solicit donations to enhance existing programs at Perrysburg Schools. Over 100 of your neighbors, parents, teachers, classmates and grandparents have served on the PSF Board since its inception, shaping it into the forward-thinking organization that it is today.
PSF began with providing classroom grants to teachers with innovative ideas, and has transformed to support Perrysburg Schools in many more ways. Currently, PSF has several initiatives that support the school district’s mission and help current Yellow Jackets in a meaningful way through: Arts programming, STEM programming, PJHS HIPP, Facility Dog Fund, Fraser Fund for Teaching Excellence, Full Experience Fund and Unrestricted gifts supporting classroom grants and scholarships to graduating seniors.
Nick Camp, Past President of Perrysburg Schools Foundation shared: “As we celebrate 40 years of existence, Perrysburg Schools Foundation has enjoyed a long history supporting teachers in the classroom, granting scholarships to graduates, recognizing teachers and staff members for exemplary work, and providing overall support to Perrysburg Schools. Building on that success, Tom Hosler had a vision back in 2012 that PSF could be a strategic advantage to further support Perrysburg School’s objectives and to meet the ever-increasing financial demands of a growing school district. The key to that vision was hiring a Director of Development. Although Development Directors were common in private schools, it was a leading edge concept for public schools at that time. Now, over 10 years later most public school systems have adopted the same philosophy of development. The success of PSF since that time has been significant with not only an increase of its basic mission but also major gifts supporting academics, arts, and athletics.
“It was my pleasure to have the opportunity to work with a great team of PSF Board Members, Tom Hosler, Perrysburg School Board Members, and Jeff Abke. Here’s to wishing the best for the next 40 years of success and growth!”
