Each year there are hundreds of families in Perrysburg facing financial hardship. As a result, many students do not have the means to participate in the experiences that are such a large part of what it means to be a Yellow Jacket.
The Perrysburg Schools Foundation, in partnership with the CQ CommUNITY, created the Full Experience Fund (FEF) in 2019 to ensure that all students may have a full experience. Since the fund’s creation, over $23,000 has been spent on various items to support students whose families are facing financial hardship.
The Full Experience Fund is made possible through private donations to the Perrysburg Schools Foundation from local businesses, families, school district employees, grandparents and alumni.
Donations cover the cost of need-based and leisure-based experiences, school supplies and fees for students, including things like:
- Unique school supplies (i.e. art canvas, specific calculator, project participation, required
- laptop case, etc.)
- Field trip/travel expenses
- Camp fees
- Counseling services (Custer Fund)
- School fees (eligibility criteria applies)
- Homecoming tickets
- Prom/After Prom tickets
- Yearbooks
- Elementary movie nights
- Book fairs
- Spirit wear
- Caps and gowns for seniors
- Pay to participate fees (athletics, band, choir)
