Grants in Action | 2023/2024 School Year
In order to create more opportunities for Perrysburg High School art students to work with ceramics, Meghan Yarnell requested a $180 grant from Perrysburg Schools Foundation to purchase four mini pottery wheels. Over 150 students were able to use them this school year.
“The students use the large pottery wheels once a week because of our large class sizes,” explained Ms. Yarnell. “Students are now able to practice pottery skills on a smaller wheel with easier clean up that can be used at their desk.”
The Perrysburg Schools Arts Council is charged with suggesting areas of funding from the Perrysburg Schools Foundation and its Campaign for the Arts that supports the visual and performing arts through student discovery, student experience, program growth and program sustainability.
