The Full Experience Fund (FEF) was established in 2019 by Perrysburg Schools Foundation to ensure that all students may have a full experience. Since the fund’s creation, over $18,000 has been spent on various items to support students whose families are facing financial hardship. FEF has an impact on the students and families who receive assistance, but it also has an impact on the school district employees who see their students excel because of the support.
Andrea Monheim, School Counselor at Perrysburg Junior High School, and former Head Varsity Track Coach at Perrysburg High School, shared, “I had a student on the track team who had two chosen events that required proper shoes to really do well. After speaking with the student’s family about the need for different shoes, I learned that the family was facing hardship and was unable to purchase the shoes needed. FEF approved the purchase of track shoes, and the student-athlete went on to have a very successful track career.
“The district’s mission is ‘Ensuring ALL students achieve their greatest potential’ and that includes inside and outside of the classroom. Because of the Full Experience Fund, I was able to help a student realize their full potential, which is something all coaches and educators hope to be able to do.”
