Grants in Action | 2023/2024 School Year
Ms. Candra Boggs, Perrysburg High School Art Teacher saw a need to replace the displays used for PHS art shows, district wide art shows and other events. She requested a grant for $10,239 from the Perrysburg Schools Foundation. The last displays were used for 22 years and the impact of the new displays will benefit about 1,000 students per year for over 20 years. She also requested $1,000 for tools for the art room to assist in basic assembling of projects, equipment, framing and other needs.
“These displays and tools provide our students the opportunity to professionally install and display works that took a great effort and talent to create throughout the year,” Ms. Boggs explained. “They demonstrate how we continue to strive to meet our students’ needs.”
The Perrysburg Schools Arts Council is charged with suggesting areas of funding from the Perrysburg Schools Foundation and its Campaign for the Arts that supports the visual and performing arts through student discovery, student experience, program growth and program sustainability.
