The official “Rock Band” of Perrysburg Schools, The Clipboards, with student horn section, The Protractors, will hold a benefit concert for Perrysburg Schools Foundation’s Full Experience Fund on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Maumee Indoor Theater (601 Conant St, Maumee).
Advance tickets must be obtained for admission https://bit.ly/pburgclipboards. The tickets are free, however donations are encouraged, as all funds raised directly benefit the Full Experience Fund, which supports students whose families are facing financial hardship. Doors open at 6:30pm and the program is from 7:00-8:30pm.
Full Experience Fund
Each year there are hundreds of families in Perrysburg facing financial hardship. As a result, many students do not have the means to participate in the experiences that are such a large part of what it means to be a Yellow Jacket. The Perrysburg Schools Foundation, in partnership with the CQ CommUNITY, created the Full Experience Fund (FEF) in 2019 to ensure that all students may have a full experience.
The Clipboards and The Protractors
The official “Rock Band” of Perrysburg Schools, The Clipboards, with student horn section, The Protractors, were founded in 2023 with the intent of playing a song at a Perrysburg Junior High School Talent Show. Squeezing in rehearsals before and after school, The Clipboards formed to represent Perrysburg Schools with the same music, humor and joy they experience every day as educators. Teachers in The Clipboards are bound by one rule – no formal training on their instruments or voice – so they can experience learning and growing side-by-side with their student counterparts in The Protractors. The Clipboards and The Protractors were recently the featured performers at the Ohio State School Board Spring Conference and have already performed for over 3,000 people at school and district assemblies, local events, children’s homes and senior living communities!

What do you enjoy most about being in the official “Rock Band” of Perrysburg Schools? What I love about being in “The Clipboards” is that it is so fun for me to use my musical talents in a positive way that brings joy to others. I’ve always been involved with music (orchestra, choir, piano, dance) ever since I was little, and it’s been really special to use those talents more and more now with our super-cool teacher band! It has also been so neat to see all of the support we’ve received from so many district staff members. It really is unique what has happened with “The Clipboards,” and it’s been so cool to have so many fans cheering us on along the way.
